What I like about the book “Vietnamerica” is that it is about the Vietnamese families and how they were impacted. In the book the main character, GB, is being told the story about how his dad grew up. I enjoy how the author illustrates this.

In the book he is being told the story by his dad's mom Ming li and  he asks about his dad. As the story goes on mi g li tells him that his mom and dad got married young and were struggling to raise him during the war. GBs uncle, Do, gets put into a working camp for POW and is there for many years. Later Do gets released and they flee the war zone. GB asks about how the war ended and Ming li explains how the war ended and that GBs dad didn’t fight in it.

I think this relates to real life because people feel like hey did something bad and they focus too much on that then on the future and what lies ahead. I also think that people need to look at how they can impact the future instead of feeling bad about the past. This is what happens in the book. GBs dad is always sad and is down on himself instead of trying to fix his relationship with his son.

Friendship is the most important thing in the world.  in between Madison and Palmetto by Jacqueline Woodson Maddie and Palmetto realize that that's in there together because they are both more happy and that friendship is the most valuable thing.

    There are many times that I see this in the book one time that I see it is when Maddie and palmetto  haven't seen in a long time. They are both very sad and Palmetto whenever she hangs out withanother friend she feels that she wants to hang out with Maddy but she ignores it. Maddie thinks the same thing and she always wants to hang out with Palmetto but she never finds a chance to say. After a while she realizes that she needs to be with Palmetto and then they will both be happier

Insecurity

Every single teenager in the world is insecure whether it's their height body face shoe size body Size and the personal things that they are going through. They very rarely feel safe even around your  friends is always saying something mean about you it really makes people feel sad when they hear that someone has been saying something not nice about them sometimes they can't sleep at night because you look I'm so glad they think of themselves being insecure. They feel exact same thing except double because you just made them feel that way.

I noticed this in full metal alchemist when it is insecure about his metal on the leg then Lt. Hawkeye, Winery and Al talk to him about it because Al is also a metal on them and they both don't feel comfortable with their bodies and they both want the original bodies back and also especially Al and Ed don't feel comfortable around them because his dad left him his brother he also is not secure enough with his mom's day.

I believe that most people are insecure you on there and their family or friends doesn't matter what it is but you never feel the safe I think this matters in teenage lives because A lot of people think that one of the most important things is how they look when someone says that they don't look good it makes them feel really down on themselves.

Reading Life

Hi my name is Robin, I love reading it is mainly what I do in my free time when I am relaxing.
I love reading fiction, realistic fiction, manga such as Tite Kubo,who wrote "BLEACH" Hiromu Arakawa,who wrote "fullmetal alchemist" Naoshi Arakawa, who wrote "your lie in april". I mainly read fantasy because I like imagining these worlds that someone else created.
